Is an individual or
team event, recognizes participants who develop a project using
technology and show evidence of problem solving, critical thinking and
integration of applied communication, math and/or science skills in
family and consumer sciences area (Junior, Senior, and Occupational).
1.Project must relate to an area in Family and
Consumer Sciences
2.Examples of technology projects that can be used, but are not
limited to are:

*Audio productions
*Video productions
*Multimedia technology
*Telecommunications
*Laser discs
*CD-ROM systems
*Interactive video

3.The portfolio will include
materials used to represent the participants work. Materials
should be
contained in a notebook, binder or carrying case.
4.The participants will submit a folder which will include:
A project identification sheet (name, project title) A
written summary (not exceeding two pages)
5.Presenting the project will include: 10-15 minute oral
presentation Written summary of project Evaluators

Tips: |
1.Request for table or electrical outlet must be
made through advisor ahead of time.
2.The planning process, work sample and process for creating
sample and knowledge of technology and its use are important
points judged on.
