Skills for Life

Is an individual or team event that recognizes participants who develop a "how to" presentation that explains a life skill used to plan and/or implement a project related to a national FCCLA program.

Project: 1.10-15 minute "how to" presentation that uses props, materials, supplies, and/ or equipment. The presentation should be one
that: 
follows a presentation outline 
is developed using the planning process 
exhibits knowledge of a natural program 
uses correct grammar and vocabulary about the national program

2.The presentation will demonstrate how a life skill was used too plan and/or implement a project related to a national program.
Life skills are limited to: 
planning 
goal setting 
problem solving 
decision making 
interpersonal communication
Presentation: 1.Presentation will consist of: 
a presentation of outline including step-by-step procedures of the presentation 
an oral presentation of the project 
evaluators questions

2.Participants will submit 3 copies of: 
project identification page 
step-by-step procedures 
bibliography
Tips:  1.Total time for event is approximately 35 minutes. 
2.A table, chair, and easel are the only equipment provided
