Illustrated Talk

Is an individual event that recognizes participants for their ability to make a presentation about life issues concerning family and consumer sciences.  (Junior, Senior, and Occupational)

 

Project 1.Illustrated talk is a 5-10 minute presentation with visual aids relating to family and consumer sciences and/or related occupations. Issues chosen should be ones that: 
represents a concern of youth and participants  reflects current social or economics issues  be addressed by FCCLA chapters 

2.The presentation will: discuss the issue  state the relationship to FCS and/or related occupations  discuss how FCCLA members can address the issue 
Presentation: 1.Presentation will consist of:  a presentation outline  5-10 minute oral presentation 
question and answer session with evaluations 

2.Participants should have a file folder containing:  project identification page 
outline of presentation  bibliography of the talk 
Tips:  1.Participants will have 5 minutes to set-up 

2.Total time required should be about 30 minutes 

3.Requests for an electrical outlet must be made in advance and through the advisor
