Is an individual or
team event, recognizes participants who use family and consumer sciences
related skills to plan and conduct a child development project that has
a positive impact in children. (Junior, Senior, and Occupational).
Display: |
The display should be freestanding or table top.
Audiovisual equipment, props, and information should fit in
display dimensions.
Participants should have a project identification sheet attached
or unattached to display. |
Video: |
1.The video and its box should have labels on them
stating: chapter name, school, city, state, year and project
title.
2.The video should show students participating in the project. |
Presentation: |
1. Presentation should include: 3-5 minute oral
introduction
Display or video about project A written summary Evaluators
questions
2.Participants will submit a file folder labeled with event,
category, participant(s) names, state, and region.
It will include:
Project identification page
Written summary
Link of project to FCS
Evaluation of project |
Tips: |
1.Requests for a table or electrical outlet must be
made ahead of time and wall space will not be available.
2.A VCR and monitor will be provided for the video option of this
event.
3.Having a back-up copy of the video is recommended.
4.Spectators are allowed to view the video option of this event
only and only if space allows. |
