Creating a Web-Page Project


This assignment is more complex than it looks because you would have to pick up the skills for a whole new program within a few class periods.  Once you get the hang of it, it's not too hard though  The most important thing to remember is that you should keep all of your text and images contained inside of tables.

For this assignment, you will design and write your own web-site using Microsoft Frontpage.

Of course, no one ever thinks that they could design a lousy web-site, but here's some links you need to browse through just to see what to AVOID in your web-page that might make it suck.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:
 
 Your web page needs to be functional and it needs to contain at least the following points of information and features:
  1. Your name

2. A picture of you that you scan in yourself or have taken with a digital camera.

3. Brief biographical information about yourself.

3. Information on your  interests, special skills, achievements and awards, favorite foods, activities, hobbies (with links to appropriate sites if needed )

4.   Additional pictures of pets, family, friends, or activities.

5.  3 graphics (at least one will be a hyperlink)

6.  make use of a table within Frontpage to arrange your information.

7.  A background color (or image) on at least one page  or a background image - other than just a plain color if you want.

8.  A list (annotated) of links to related pages.

9    A link to send you e-mail - this needs to be a button that you created in Adobe Photoshop CS and have turned into a hyperlink.

·           Optional:   Links to some of your favorite web sites including friends’ sites if you wish.

·              There should be at least three pages; each page linked to the other pages that comprise your web site.

·              Preview your home page with both to ensure everything appears satisfactorily.

·              Make sure your pages are laid out in an appealing manner, using centering, fonts and color combinations that make it pleasant to see and easy to read.

 

NOTE:

  • All file names MUST have NO spaces.

  • All file names MUST be 8 characters in length or shorter.
