Length – Should be at least four pages long, 500 word minimum.

1. (Introductory Paragraph) First begin by explaining what you were supposed to do in this project.  I would suggest that you go back and re-examine the guidelines/requirements for this project to help you in writing this.

2. Description: Picture Content

Tell exactly everything that you see in the work. List the content of the picture, name all the things you placed in the image for the cover. (Naming things is the usual way we describe pictures.) This is a factual account – not your opinion. List the literal objects in the work (trees, people, animals, mountains, rivers, etc.).

3. GIVE A STEP-BY-STEP ACCOUNT OF HOW YOU CREATED THIS:

Explain how you did what you did to make the final design. Include details about your use of filters, layers, text effects, masks, channels, etc.

1.Use of Space: Does the art suggest 2 dimensional, shallow 3 dimensional space, or deep 3 dimensional space?

(Hint: 2 dimension space has a flat and cut out look such as a silhouette. 3 dimensional art has modeling, roundness, and depth.) Design Features; Design introduces the idea of organization, variety, harmony, contrast, etc. Design is about relationships of parts to each other.

3. Describe how the principle of  rhythm (i.e., the intentional repetition of an element) occurs in the work.

a. How is repetition used to achieve harmony?

7. Is there a point that seems to be emphasized? How is this emphasis achieved?  What element of art creates emphasis, or a focal point? (is it by: size, color, line, etc.,?)

8. Did you use texture? If so, explain the texture effect and where examples of differing textures are located within the work.

10. How is the principle of balance shown in the work?  IDENTIFY: Is the balance formal (symmetrical), informal (asymmetrical) or radial? (Evenly divided; unevenly divided, balanced like a wheel or a target.)
