7th Grade – Famous Artist  Assignment

What: We will be in the computer lab for the next five days working on completing research on a famous artist from history and then analyzing one specific work by that artist.    You will need to choose an artist from the list below and using the power point template provided by your teacher research about that artist and their work. Some of these artists listed below are active in more than one kind of material (media).

NOTE :  I am providing you a power point template that already has the guiding questions for your research and the order in which I want to see things presented.  Click on the link to the power point template on the 7th Grade Art class resources page and save a copy of the template in  your user’s folder for access to it. 

Please remember that you must cite all of the URL addresses and images that you used for your power point on the last slide in the presentation, so cite them as you research information.

When:  You will presenting the results of your research and art analysis to the class.

Total Project Worth: 100 points – Power Point Research project

                                       50 points – Presentation to the class


                                       50 points – Daily work in the computer lab  (10 points each day we are in the lab)



NOTE:  You will be getting a daily work grade for each day we are in the computer lab worth 10 points.  If you are not making good, daily progress on your assignment, points will be deducted from your class work grade that day.

Please sign up on the artist sign up sheet so that no two people in the class are doing their research and analysis on the same artist.
